it's crazy how much these go for when one can install a cover and it looks just as good. congrats on the sale
I bought a perfect dash pad from a junk yard years ago. It had no cracks and it seemed plyable. The only problem was that after a year or so, it too cracked. Now it's getting a dash cap. My only suggestion to whomever bought this one would be to keep it treated with some kind of perservative in order to keep it soft.
Two things. A $70 cap isn't $70 after shipping, more like $85-$90. Take this from the $400 (shipped) and now your spending $310-$315... MY answer to your question is yes. I didn't say I could afford it, that's just my feeling on it.
i can get them for $70/shipped but i see where you're coming from. but keep in mind that EVENTUALLY, a dash pad will crack. it's not a matter of if, but a matter of when. and when it does, then what? $400 dash pad that isnt worth $50 when it cracks. see what im saying?
Yea, I do. Mine is in a garage and never (right now ) comes out. When I get it driveable, it will rarely see the elements. So I think it will be awhile before I see cracks. It has been discussed many times here how some just have it redone so it has new material. That's what I will eventualy do. I just want to feel the 4 barrels open a few times first
