My car came with a factory metal console with locking lid. No clock like I have seen in others. Just black with a metal flip up door. Would there be much interest in this as I'm not sure what to do with it. Wont fit with the floor shift. Dont know if its worth selling or just file it away in the garage. Any ideas on value. Its in pretty good shape just some normal scratches over the years. I know I should have a pic but its in the garage and its about -15 out there tonight.
Maverick consolette...they seem to be desireable...monitary value I couldnt tell ya.Someone will chime in who wants it or can tell you what its worth.
Darren. What you have is called a consolette. Does it lock and do you have the keys. Don't give it away unless to me. keep it till some1 posts looking for 1. Can't remember what they sell for. They do come with a clock, and they are more desirable but without is wanted also.TTFN Ron
It does have a lock but I have no key. This thing is like a safety deposit box compared to our plastic cup holder consoles now.
If it had a clock, I'd drive to your place right now. Other than that, they usually go for anyware from 85 to 100 bucks (plus). There was just an NOS one on Ebay, I didn't see what it finished at.
Many other Ford and Mercury cars used that same lock on glove boxes. Probably can find a used lock with a key for only a couple of dollars used. Look on eBay, often times you can find lock sets. A used trunk lock and glove box lock keyed alike. Those consolettes can get pricey. Without mentioning $$$, I would price a consolette higher than a pair of Sport mirrors with gaskets and good glass.
Dave. He posted about 1 hour b4 you. I posted 4 minutes after him. If it had a clock I would have bought it immediately, therefore you were to late.I had a NOS 1 with clock and sold it to a mav guy in OH.Kickin my ass now.
