Had the same issues after pulling mine out of suedo-storage. Gas tank was rusted to hell and back. A quick peak at the fuel filter will tell you what sort of condition your gas tank is in.

you can buy a clear filter that you can hook up in the gas line so after you drive it a little bit you can see if thats you problem :)

Yep and I am going to try and register it with the original license plate as well. It has the inspection sticker from 1976 on it as well.

Just an update: The car is starting run real nice now that I have driven it regularly. I need a thermostat as the heat is only working part of the time. Looking through all of the past posts have helped tremendously. I am starting to drive it daily and everthing is working except the AM radio. The carburetor still needs a little tuning, it running good but sucking gas.

Does anyone have an idea what the MPG rating or the 250/IBL engine?

Thanks for all of the help so far!

good to hear the cars running good! :thumbs2: after i rebuilt my carb i was getting somewhere around 16 or 17 MPG. and my motor is a stock 250. another factor into my gas mileage is that i dont speed but i dont waste time getting to the speed limit lol...
