Im sure what Im looking for is here somewhere, but a quick search didnt do the trick. My question is this: are the early Mav (70-72) v8 drum spindles the same as the Mustang "big bearing" drum spindles? Im getting a good tax return and want to upgrade the spindles on my Comet (pre-Mav era) so I can run the s197gt brakes, and I know where I can get a set of Mav spindles cheap.
same here. should be the same. cheap your local parts house and see if the two take the same bearings
Yep, early Mav and Comet drum spindles are the same as 1970 Mustang drum spindles, 1970 is the only Mustang that matches.
OK, newbie here. What is this upgrade your talking about? I've done alot of research for classic Mustangs upgrading their brakes, but have not heard about using S197 stuff, only Granada and SN95 Cobra brakes. Please enlighten me.
