I've been going through the list of mods I plan to make to the Maverick soon and I began thinking about sound deadening mats. I think the Maverick somewhat has some already. Basically it's there to dull the exhaust noise when inside the car so you can hear the stereo or whatever better and also to control heat dispersal or whatever, right? Is it worth it to do? What is the square footage of the floor? (so I know how much to get.) Thanks again.
Frank (71gold) got some from Lowes and he said it was very worth it... he might pop in and give more details but i am going to do it to mine... so i say do it... all personal preference though
there was a post about this not too long ago. I asked how to make the interior of the car more comfortable. People suggested this stuff from lowes and there is a link to it too. I don't know about the square footage (I'll find out tomorrow morning when I start working on the interior). Also, I was told to divert my exhaust to the rear which you probably have too but mine dumps before the rear axles.
Anyone remember what the stuff from Lowes is called? I was in there yesturday looking for some... I asked for "noise insultaing material" of any sort and they just tilted their heads like a dog hearing a high pitched sound
Where do you get peel and seal? http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...625&lpage=none it's in the roofing supplies department... ...:Handshake...
Town and country building products: 4" peel-and seal 33.5' roll...$11.47 + tax just curious what Lowes wants?
$14.43 for 6in x 25ft So, 134 square inches for $11.47 vs 150 square inches for $14.43 Just picked up a few rolls. Thanks for the tip Frank
I would love to get a few rolls of this product but according to the Lowes site, I'd have to drive half way across New Jersey to find a Lowes store that even sells it. Does Lowes do mail order?
