Hey out there.. Looking to pick up a Mav pretty soon. Just have a couple questions for anyone who can answer..
#1.. It looks to me like all Mavs are pretty much the same exterior wise, save for the front and rear. Is this true?? Also, how much does it take to turn a 74 with the big bumpers into a grabber. I'm assuming hood, front bumper, valance, maybe a grill, rear bumper and wing.. and how hard are these parts to come by??
#2.. Where is the best place to buy parts besides here and e-bay?
#3.. What are the most expensive parts of this car to deal with, meaning what would I need to spend my money on when it comes to buying a Maverick to make sure I'm not saving money on the purchase only to spend way too much trying to find a fuel cap, get my drift??
Thanks so much.. Any help is appreciated..

Those parts are kinda hard to find but if you have some cash your willing to spend they will find you alot easier. AutoKrafters and other stores remanufacture some parts for our car not much and some parts interchange just check out the rest of this forum.

#1)do a search on "small bumper swap"You will find all the info you need to do one.
    #2)Here...or Evil bay
#3)Spend the money on one that has little to no rust.Body panels/floor pans are not re-popped for these cars...other than quarter skins.Look for rotten cowls(common problem)If it has a vinyl top...poke/push on the roof. Usually the steel roof under the vinyl is ruined.Check floor pans for holes/rot.common causes are rotten cowl/window weather stripping.Salt/snow etc...check frame rails/torque boxes and rear rails at the rear spring shackle mount point. These are the common areas other than the typical front fender dog legs/quarter panels/front hood lip edge.Good luck!!!!
Allmost forgot!!!! Welcome to the madness!!
