I need some expert help and I know I have came to the right people here.

I want to fire up my sons car today for the first time with a new rebuilt 302 and new rebuilt C4 trans, both has "0" miles on it as of today.

My problem is I want the vacuum to be right when I start it and that's where I need your help. What is the simplest way to hook up the lines? I don't have to worry about emission testing where I live so I think that should make things alot simpler. Here is what I have:

The Carb instructions showed me what port to use for the distributor so thats ok.

The back of the Holly Carb has a large vacuum port on it what do I do with that one?
The Intake Manifold has a vacuum Port coming out of it what do I do with that one?
I have one vacuum line coming out of the fire wall for the heater controls, where do I connect it?
I need vacuum for brakes, where do I connect for that?
I need vacuum for the trans, where do I connect for that?
I have a canister for the gas tank and another vacuum canister do I need them? If yes how do I connect those?
I also have a vacuum divider (seperator) mounted on the fire wall that I can tie alot of lines into.

Here is what I think But I'm not sure:

Take a vacuum hose from the Intake Manifold to the divider on the fire wall.
From the seporator do the following:

Go to the Power Booster for the brakes.
Connect the vacuum line from the fire wall.
Connect the vacuum line to the trans.
Connect the vacuum line to the gas tank canister. (Is it needed?)
Connect to the vacuum canister. (Is it needed?)

The one I'm really not sure about is the one coming from the back of the carb. Does it go to the valve cover? Do I need another line from the valve cover to the Air Cleaner?

Please help and correct all of my mistakes.:hmmm:

Manifold vacuum[any vacuum port below throttle blades of carb] to power brakes, heater, and tranny, ported [above the throttle blades of carb] to dist. Don't have to have vacuum to smog cannister unless required in your area. And almost forgot, manifold vacuum to PVC valve in valve cover.

Take em all off. You don't need them. Those are just to pass smog tests, which we don't have to do with older cars here in texas.

I have one that goes from the back of the manifold to a T to the heater controls and transmission. That is it.

If you need the diagram of all the egr vacuum lines, pm me or email me and give me your email address and I can email it over to you.

lets see one line from the carb to the vaccum advance on the distributor, and one line to the vacuum chamber so your A/C heater controlls work...That is unless you have a brake booster and if you do that runs off of vacuum too.

I think you can just close that one up, not needed. Should have come with a bolt that you need to put some teflon tape on and just thread in.
The Intake Manifold has a vacuum Port coming out of it what do I do with that one?
The one goes to one of the ports on the carb, I think it goes to the one above the throttle plate.
I have one vacuum line coming out of the fire wall for the heater controls, where do I connect it?
That goes to your heater vacuum switch.
I need vacuum for brakes, where do I connect for that?
The should be the one going from the carb (below the throttle plate) to the brake, not sure on this one, someone else know?
I need vacuum for the trans, where do I connect for that?
hmmm, don't know. and this is the simplest one! Lol
I have a canister for the gas tank and another vacuum canister do I need them? If yes how do I connect those?
Get rid of the gas one, you don't need it. The coffee can one you need. One vacuum line from the fire wall goes to it.
I also have a vacuum divider (seperator) mounted on the fire wall that I can tie alot of lines into.
That's the one I used to put onto my heater vacuum switch.

Now that's more like it. I knew you guys would come through for me. I did what everyone said and the car started up with no problems and ran very smooth. I hope to post pictures of this completed projected in a couple of weeks. All I need is a paint job and thats coming next week. This car has been a great project for my son and I. We completely restored it from the ground up. Thanks to everyone here that helped along the way.

The big one at the back of the carb is for the PCV valve (located in the valve cover.
