For all Maverick\Comet owners and MCCI members in Georgia, and those attending the Fun Ford Weekend on April 17, in Commerce, GA...I have a question to ask: Should we hold our Mini-meet inside the event at FFW? If we do, we all have to pay show\race prices to bring our cars inside the event. This means about $10 over the regular admission price. If not, we will have to hold the mini-meet in the spectator's parking, and try to get a spot together, which means getting there very early on April 17.

Pls let me know by PM, e-mail or via this thread. I want this meet to be a good one, and your input is very important. Thanks,

    Earl

I can pay the $10. I can meet in the parking lot. It matters not to me. I just won't have a Maverick to bring.

I think it will be worth the extra money to have the cars inside the event.
I usually go every year and the only way we could park all the cars together in the parking lot would be to put them in the field to your right when you drive onto the property which is a LONG way from the rest of the event.

I dont know what the general admission price is this year but its usually about $18.00 to $20.00 . So based on what Earl says about the ten bucks extra to enter your car it will be around $30.00 . (of coarse you and the car can come and go from the event during the day as you please.)

If the cars are parked together inside the show ,they will be seen by a ton more people.

From an MCCI standpoint.....it needs to be held inside. A lot more visiblilty for the club "inside" versus out in the parking lot.

    My 2 1/2 cents worth.

earl, chris and i will be there. inside will be fine.
i will bring a cooler full of ice and a case of (soft) drinks.
you had mentioned bringing a grille. maybe someone could bring some charcoal, a couple a packs of buns and some dogs. maybe you could make a list and we could put our names down for diff. things. i am sure it will be better eating than at the track.
let me know if i can do anything else...frank...:bananaman :bananaman

By the way, as far as alcohol goes, we will not be having any in our area at the mini-meet. There will be families there, and if anyone wants to have a beer or two, it will be available at the vendors at the event. Just wanted to let everyone know.
