You cant sell me on the more HP statement, A 1471 supercharger can feed 8000 hp. Ive never saw a turbo anywhere capable of that. Most turbos that are compared to superchargers are compared to a smaller sized supercharger. Although i will agree a turbo is the easiest to control as far as controlling the boost. And the lag of a turbo can be an advantage to a traction limited car. As far as a roots running Hot, of all the ones i have dealt with this is not a problem. I really don't know where this rumor got started but its just not true. I deal with turbos on a daily basis, They require a lot more attention than a roots or centrifugal blower. And normally if you lose a turbo then you will be at minimum replacing the inter cooler. And i would also say the centrifugal is the easiest to install on a injected car. My 331 gets 17+ MPG with better than 600 at the crank. And it can be driven anywhere you want to go.

    I like mine

Its a Wiend, now Holley 174- fits under the hood , no one knows except for the sound.. had a few head gasket issues , but all resolved now. 11:80s with boost control on 2*. Probably a bit quicker if I dialed back in some timing. They sell a polished set up for like 2700.00.

the turn sounded like a spool chirping the tires...the rest sounded like horsepower on the tires.

i dunno about a loose belt.

The constant wheezing sound is the noise the blower makes if thats what you mean
......some people refer to it as "music". :yup:
