i have a Solid Lifter Comp Cam and was wondering if there is anyway we could find out wat lift and duration we have without having the paperwork on it. and also does anyone know if we could change it from a solid lifter to a hydraulic lifter without changing the cam. thanks, Evan Stott
you can not use hydraulic lifters on a solid cam...ramps are designed differently for em,you will destroy the cam in short order.if you have the PN# of the cam you should be able to find the info...
we can't find the paperwork on it and don't want to take it apart and thanks for the info on the lifter
If the cam is in the engine...you can figure lift/duration with a degree wheel on the crank and a dial indicator on a lifter/push rod.
