5.0 Swap

    Alright, this is probably on here somewhere, but I can't find it. I have a 1988 Lincoln Mark VII with a bad transmission, the motor is good and is running strong, it is the HO EFI engine, I would like to put that motor in my Maverick, it was originally a 302 car with an automatic. What all is involved in the wiring, what all will i have to do to get it to work? Any help or advice is good!

    Easy stuff if you use a carb, not so easy if you keep the EFI. I have an ex-EFI engine in my car, and it hooks up like any other. Good luck!

    how do you wire it if you go to carburetor?

    Power to coil,alternater,starter & youre good to :burnout:
    And of course the usual, fuel line,oil pressure guage line or wire,accelerater linkage,rad. hoses etc.....EFI is cool too though

    well, I think I might change it to a carb and go that route.
