On Wednesday our local newspaper runs a column called Old Car Detective, it's about old cars that people have owned or after many many years still own. Mostly the cars featured in this column are from the 20's to the early 60's, almost never anything newer. Well this Wednesday low and behold there before my very eyes was a story about a 1971 Maverick Grabber. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.......so check it out: Pretty cool eh!
That's about how mine looked the day I brought it home. Tired springs and a toolbox in the back... Good story!
cant really see it that good but It looks like it has a Flat hood instead of the Grabber hood. Being a 71 it should have had a Grabber hood. Uless it was manufatured in 1970 and title a 71 maybe???
Yep. It's amazing how people's memories remember thing incorrectly like that. He probably knows for 100% certain that the car was a 1971 (but we know it ain't )
absolutely awesome story none the less. It's always great to see a MAverick and the story behind it in print
Like i said i thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, they never really print stories about Mavericks, hey when i see 'em i put 'em on the board!
