Hello fellow Maverick/Comet enthusiasts. I am in desperate need of a gas tank for my 1970 maverick. It of course bolts right in to the trunk pan. I realize that only another tank from that year can be used. Does anybody have a good used one or is it just going to make sense by converting to a fuel cell? Please respond if you have for sale or any suggestions. Thanks

Tough item to find but the show up for sale from time to time. You should post a parts wanted ad in the appropriate forum.
How bad is your tank? You could send it out for repair.

    :Welcome: from Northeast Pennsylvania

I took my 70 drop in tank out due to the square well that it bolts into was all rusted and cracking apart. Once I get my 16 gallon fuel cell mounted, I'll probably sell my 70 tank but it won't be for a while yet.

    Welcome to the boards! :Welcome:
If the tank isn't bad, you might think of having it lined.
