I want to do the Shelby Mod on my '75 but the grease fittings interfere with the shock towers. I just bought new control arm shafts and don't want to return them. I had an epiphany.... Has anyone ever thought of plugging the grease fitting hole on the endcap and drilling a new one on the front surface of the endcap? I think this would offer great access and can't think of any reason why it won't work. Any thoughts?
I guess it would work, as long as you kept it to the outside, away from the threads...Some Mustang suppliers sell some pretty tight 90 degree fittings, they might work.
If you want easy run 1/8" brake line up to the fender. Then you can grease all the fittings without bending over. (I am planning on doing this on my Mustang)
