    the only bad thing is the clearence issue because of it's size.... (and it looks like a chevy part :rolleyes:)

    There is that. I had to use an offset air filter base to run a 14" air cleaner, but that's it. A smaller one would fit fine too. And I believe next weekend I'll either confirm my belief that the stock AC compressor and associated bracketry will clear it, or I'll go get a Duraspark.

    It's BIG, It's UGLY, It's HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it's got one less wire than a Pertronix module in the points distributor.

    1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
    Ive got one for my new motor, and yes its big and ugly. I havent even fired the motor yet and im considering getting rid of it. I might just get it running with it and go from their.

    And let's not forget they're made in China and the devil kills a puppy - an AMERICAN puppy - every time you buy one, let's go ahead and get that out of the way... But they run just fine.

    I have read of one guy on another forum that had one just fall apart while the engine was running, don't know the specific brand but he said it was a cheap one off ebay.

    And they're still big and ugly. :bananaman

    Theyre big and ugly but its a good distributor,ive seen alot of people run HEI on Ford engines,puts out a good HOT spark:shocked:
