metal hood scoop

    looking for a good hood scoop...has original 73 hood, but has crapy fiberglass hood scoop thats gotta go...thinking about a metal one....any ideas? or pictures/websites?:bouncy:

    Screw scoops. They are obviously overrated!

    73 what, mav or comet? If a comet..that crappy fiberglass hood scoop is probably the stock scoop and can bring a nice coin when sold ;)

    All fiber scoops are not equal.
    If someone bonded it to your metal hood, I can understand why you are unhappy.
    Stock scoops are bolt on, not bond on, and are much sturdier.
    There are aftermarket scoops that are bolt on, and much higher quality.
    My guess is that might be what you are looking for and might be much cheaper than converting to a steel scoop.
