real close to paint

    if possible could i get you guys with green mavericks to post some pics.i'm real close to paint and i'm looking for the right shade of green.my jeep is a hunter green and its close to the color i'm looking for but not quite it.show off those green mavericks for me guys.i need help!thanx.best regards bob tackett

    i'm guessing you mean the darker green, and not the lighter colour? mentioning hunter green, and all. :)

    the green 4 door is probably the closest to a hunter green that you are looking for. the green is a factory dark metallic green (from the color sheet) and for accent i added seafaom green racing stripes. if you are interested i may be able to dig up other photos

    Yep I like this color. Looks like it suits the era. Grabber Green is nice if you wanted a lighter color. Not a fan of flashy, too shiny paint on the old cars.

    :thumbs2: There's a really cool color of green on a Comet for sale on Craigslist in Arizona I think he's a member of this forum.

    yea the 4 door i'm pretty sure is the color i'm looking for.is there a larger pic and is there a code or # for the paint.thanx for the leg work!

    the paint code is 1971 dark green iridescent (C) on the build plate. i hope these help.

    a few more. the last photo i put in to show primer color since this affects the final paint tone, plus my baby was so darn cute sitting on "her" car. she cried for weeks when it burned.
