    Hello all,
Were the shifter humps only installed for the automatic shifters? Or were they used with the manual three speed floor shifters as well? Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Thanks Guys!
That's what I was thinking, but wanted to be sure. I have found some manual floor shift bodies and thought I might get one if it included the hump that I could use in another automatic car, but looking at an auto shifter I can see it needs to be mounted flat (or horizontal), but could not see where that would be necessary with a manual shifter.

    You help is much appreciated.
    Sincerely, Farmall

The manual shifter is bolted and fully supported by the tail housing of the tranmission so no extra need for support. The automatic shifter bolts to the floor so extra reinforcement is needed .. that is what the hump is for.

Thanks again. I have several manual 3 sp trans. some with shifters, and knew it wasn't required for the shifter mount, but thought they may have employed it in order to keep the boot mount flat, similar to the auto shifter. Thats good to know though, now I won't be digging under old carpet in the car to check for a "hump".

    Thanks again, Farmall
