351 heads

    I have an 86 351 block and heads... can the 351 heads fit a similar year 302 block?

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Yes they will fit any year 302 block(except a boss)but you will need the shouldered head bolts...302 head bolts are 7/16...351 are 1/2 inch.You will need longer pushrods as well for the pedestal mount rockers.

    72 sprint v/8 3 grabbers 73 comet and a 77 comet race car
    I would not waste my time with them they are basically 302 size valves anything after 74 351 heads were junk in my opinion

    Except for the head bolt hole size, they're the same heads used on the 302.
