I hear many people talk about AOD transmissions i need help!! Is this what i need? If so how much is it worth??

    Heres the details.

Has RF-E3SP-7006 labeled on the side of the transmission, and
the #23 on the bell Housing. Was told that if it is 6" between the top bolts on bell housing that it is for a small block,
and if there is 8" between the bolts that it is a for a big block. This one is 6".

Is there a big block AOD version? I thought you had to mill the bell and weld on an adapter plate to adapt to a big block? Nevertheless - it looks like the one I swapped into my Fairlane. Should just be a 4 wire plug on the left side for the neutral safety and the back-up lights. I paid $60 for it at the Pull-a-Part in Winston-Salem. Took me about 45 minutes of steady work to drop it out from under a crown vic. I would pay $100 for a core already on the ground. It's worth more if you know the history and know for sure it shifts. My two cents.
