Thinking of dropping in a efi 302 into my Mav. Probably gonna get a complete donor, either a crown vic or grand marquis maybe a f-150. Can buy a whole vehicle for $500. Im just sick of carbs. Anyone else done this. Also and info or suggestions on mods or adjustments would be great. I know a great engine tuner so im not worried about that end of things.

you may need to swap some parts,

You may need a early 302 oil pan. your gonna need to run a return line back to the gas tank. while you have the motor out you could replace rear main seal which are known to go bad around 100k miles in the 5.0 ho motor.

Yes but it is a pain in the a$$ to change spark plugs and it is a tight fit. Most of the guys that put one in shave the shock towers too.

If I drive it hard enough I ll have to pull engine before I need to change plugs anyways lol. I should just put one of my old mustang fronts in it anyways.

Im interested in putting the efi back on my 302 when I rebuild it here pretty soon. So is there a tech article or anything to explain what all it takes to run it?

Pics would be great. Were you happy with the 351 or would you rather have a 5.0

The 351c, is a monster in the car. it breaks the tires loose 3,000 rpm. in all 3 gears.
