Hey guys I have a 72 comet getting ready to send to paint and bought a NOS DODZ-17626-A front valance. There is a slight difference than mine. So is a comet different than a maverick? My 72 grabber looks like the original on my comet. The difference is a slight bevel the full length on the leading egde with a small almost bumper bracket recess here's some pictures thanks for anyone help...............

the NOS one is a '70 version. that's the slight difference between a '70 valence and '71-'72 counterparts. it doesnt affect the install or fitment at all, just a little different :)

Comets had the turn signal lights in the grill, hence the smooth edge. Mavericks had the turn 70-72 Mavericks had the turn signals under the bumper

the comets would have used the same maverick ones, which would have been the 71-72 versions since the comet didnt appear untill '71.

the front valence carries a D0DZ part number but has a revised suffix at the end for the change

I looked at my other 70 and it has the same one, it's not an early car. Must have been a 70 only valance. With his car I would get the correct one.
