    v8 mustang II's have 2.79 or 3.00 gears like our mav's
V6 cars have 3.55 for manual,3.45 for auto
4 cyl cars could have a 3.45 or 3.55 8" but most had the small spicer style rear end.

unless the guy changed them (i'll ask) that's what I have now. So, they are special because they're mustang II stuff? I have maverick parts to put in their place if this is a project funding option.:scratchchin:

yea the guy got the motor out of the car and built it for the maverick I just bought but he never put it in. the other guy that got the car used the suspension and rear for his street rod.

That thing is rather obnoxious looking. I think I am just going to get the racing wires and a street fire.

    the ford racing wires
    some spark plugs
    the MSD street fire

the only other thing I require is a coil which I can get el cheapo at any parts store?

Coil has to be one for a CD ignition system. I think the one's for the Duraspark arer OK for this.

the oil pan, insted of having a gradual bend to the sump in the front has a more of a 90* angle.

Mustang II V8s used a special reduced-diameter C4 bellhousing, torque converter (higher stall), 141-tooth flexplate, block plate, dust cover. Also special
motor mounts, oil pan, oil pump pickup, and accessory mounting brackets.

    Should help fund your project(y)

from what I remember the oil pan is definitely as you described. although it is dinged up from being stored sitting on the pan. this is exciting. I will keep you informed of my findings...
