I found an 8" center chunk with 4:10 gears and Trac-lock posi. for $200. At least that's the way it's advertised. Is it worth it? Should I check the # of axle splines or are all 8" rear ends 28 spline axles? Anything else I should look for before buying? Thanks

All were 28 and if that is the ratio you want, that is a great deal, provided everything is on good shape.

Mustang II chunks with 3.55s on ebay, in non-posi form, are going for 350 to 400 dollars.
