Those split bench seats and the colour are the exact same ones i had in my first Maverick, a 1977 4-door with a 250 -6 in it. I loved those seats, they were great to park your butt on in a long haul.
what is the drivers side rear quarter like behind the wheel, and would you be willing to sell it, just from the body line down.
the quarters are pretty nice, inside and out. about the only rust in the car is the rear frame rails, front floors and dr side fender. the rest are pretty good or better. send me a pm and we'll talk
I really like the flight bench. I have see a few others over time. They remind me of what was used in the Fairmont/Zephyr. This is a '77 only option, correct?
im not sure, but i would think so. ive seen alot of '76 cars but none ever had one in it.... but then again, this is the first one for me all together
Wow, I hate to see that one parted out. It would be a lot of work to fix the underneath, but with all the parts car you have, I'm sure you'd have all the stuff!
Could be a 77 only option. My 77 had a bench like that until I tossed it for buckets. It has a decent look to it, but I found it to be too cushy. Not nearly the support of a good bucket seat.
yeah, this car is neat..... but none-the-less, it has way too much rust for me to fix. there's more about the rust details in this thread.... http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=59494
On second though after seeing the pics.....that car is a good candidate for a tube frame, because it doesn't look like much of the original frame structure is left! Did it come out of a swamp? Looks like the rustproofing did ok on the quarters, but didn't help the frame a bit!
yeah, there's some good and bad with the car..... but if nothing else, it'll live on thru the parts that come off of it
