Has anybody put 3" exhaust on their car? If so did you bring it out in front of the rear tires or ?

Would it be of any advantage to run 3" exhaust with a 347 since the primaries are only going to be 1 5/8"

    4 x 1 5/8" = 6 1/2" x 2 sides. You need 6 1/2 " exhaust per side :biglaugh:

Wise guy huh----I was going to run 4 3" pipes out each side in front of the rear tires but was wondering if I could fit them over the rear axle and take them clear out the back.

Any tips you care to share about the installation, how is the ground clearance? Is this on the car you have pictures?

:hmmm: I remember seeing 3" pipes on someones mav, to the bumper, even past the gas tank on the drives side. So it can be done...

Probably bigger than you need anyway. But it would sound sick. What mufflers are you gonna use?

[If I was doing a system I would run 3" pipe into a 3" x 2-1/2" X-pipe into 2-1/2" mufflers and tails out the back or behind the wheels]

...also to make 3" work you will need...1/2" fuel line and a 150 GPH fuel pump.:yup:
