um anything with a chrystler/dodge name on it is now owned by Fiat. Part of the Dodge bankruptcy was to sell Dodge/Chrystler to a company outside of the US go figure
I like it. Does anyone know what the width of the new challenger nose is, compared to the maverick? It might just take the challenger part trimmed a little to make it fit, then some fiberglass work to fill in the gaps.
well barring the political implications i could complain about i will instead point out that poor tony is going to be WAY over worked...
I've been doing a little research and the Challenger is 75.7 wide while the Maverick is 70.7 wide. It could be done done but thats a lot of inches to chop out and besides, a front piece from a Challenger on E-bay seems to run about $400!! I think you could get this look somehow but I'm not a body guy. Hey, maybe we could get Ray to chime in???? Scott
That's a really awesome idea. Never would have thought of that one. I'd love to see more CRAZY modded Mavs then there already are. I mean, cherry grabbers are awesome and all, but you know what they say about eating cake all the time....
:16suspect what do you mean political implications I was just stating a fact. I am more irritated at the fact that they were encouraged to be sold to another out of the US company then to be retained here in the US. I thought Dodge was one of the better companies and I even had a Dodge truck until they were sold to Dalmer Benz that took what they wanted and when they bailed on them they just left them with $hit
5 inches taken out of the middle wouldn't be that big of a deal. Not as difficult as getting the sides to flow and match. Funny thread. We have the fiat political running through it, and the aweswomness of the challenger nose added to the maverick all around it.
LOL, i dont think im against you on this one... the government should not be dictating ownership of corporations, but even more so they should not be forcing the sale of domestic companies to foreign ones. it would have been better to sell them to their american competitors....
I ran across this 76 toyo celica. Looks like with the body line (hood looks like a mav) ..it might be do-able. Width has gotta be close because look at the Dragon Fly...looks alot like the 280 nose. Course finding the parts are a different story.
