    Registry? New here

Hi, I just joined this site. :tiphat: Looking into doing a Maverick/Comet restomod.

I have been doing Cougars for years. Have a 1969 CJ and two 1968 XR7's.

I treasure hunt in junk yards all the time. I can get VIN's nearly every time I go LQQK'in. Today I found a yellow grabber, got the black rimblow pad. There was also a Comet GT, I think that it was in Riverside. Missing the hood scoop of course.

I have a friend that campaigned a 6 cyl drag Maverick on the east coast. It is the one pictured in the recent Hemmings Muscle Machines. Called the Mad Frenchman. Is that anyone on this lists car?

Are there two registries? Maverick and Comet?
Mustangs and Cougars often have body buck tags, do the Maverick/Comets?
Where would they be located on the body?

Having noticed this compact body for years, my parents got my sister a 1970 Maverick coupe when she graduated high school. 3 on the tree with a 170.
I think that a coupe with a 5.0-5 speed would be a cool ride.

I do the ebay thing, have found 3 consolettes for Mavericks over the years (all sold). Rear defog units a couple of times. I noticed several, maybe two cars that had bucket seats and floor automatic T-shifters. What year(s) did that option come?

I would be happy to report locations of cars in junkyards that I find. V-8's I see from time to time too.

    Scott

Many here have heard of the Mad Frenchman. Someone posted pics at some time.

Floor shift bucket seat cars are quite common. Buckets are std. with Comet GT's. Optional in Grabbers and all others.

Report any GT's to me for the Comet GT registry. There are other registries. Sprints (72), '70 Grabbers, etc.

    Nope...

....I don't have a pic in there for you, Gene.

E-mail it to me: redcometgt@aol.com make sure you put your VIN with it so that I don't get it mixed up with someone else.

    Thanks,

    Seth

    David,

Are you going to give him the info off of the red GT? As soon as I'm feeling up to it, I'm going to get the info from the Green one to him. :cold: :cold:
