my throttle cable is not working right it sticks when i floor it and im sure its because it has not been used in 35 years.can i lube it up i tried from the engine compartment but still the same sticking or does any one know where i can get a new one or good used one. thanks john
Soak it good with PB Blaster, let it sit a while, then soak it again. Put a stiff return spring on, and work it a few times and it should loosen up. If not, Lokar makes a nice but expensive aftermarket cable, or Mean Maverick or Craig Selvey might have a used factory cable.
thanks guys i think i will try the pb blaster.it does work a little but when i get to a certain point it sticks.so i will pull it out and soak it.or see if one of the guys on here have one. john
