ditto! listen to him... ^^^^ IMO i don't know where you guys are saying that a 4.5 back spacing will work. yeah maybe with a 225-50 with any decent size tire you'll have the tire hit leaf spring. might wanna measure that one again some tire /wheel info 101 http://www.maverickman.com/TireandWheelSizes.html
I just posted in another thread i had.. couldn't find this one.. but a 15x9 with 5.5 bs is a no go right?
I had three sets of wheels as follows on a 73/76maverick oem rear springs, all wheels on 295x50x15R. 1- weld pro star 15x8, 3.50" BS., had to trim the outer fender lip and it poked out on the crown of the side wall 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch on my 73 mav... got rid of them !!! 2- vintage technics corvette wheels,51x8, 4.00" BS, perfect !!!! on the 76 mav. 3-boyds junkyard dogs, 15x8, 4.00" BS... minor rub on big bumps on the outer fender lip and some minor trimming of edge/ stainless steel fender trim(about 1/4 inch will do) sit-rap is; not all wheels have the same back-spacing offset....
