Hey guys, I have a 302 that has duraspark distributor with a single vacuum port diaphram on it. It came without a hose connected to it. So, I looked around the edlebrock carb and this carb does not have a vacuum port to connect it to. The edlebrock manifold does not have anything to connect it to either??? Any ideas where this should be connected to? I'm running into an issue with pinging when I run it at a certain rpm while driving it and I know it's because of the vacuum...it runs great at idle.
What Edelbrock carburetor do you have? The ported vacuum port on the performer series in on the front passenger side next to the PVC valve port. The port on the drivers side of the PCV valve port is full time vacuum
I have the 1406, 600 CFM with electric choke. Yes, I missed that...thanks. What is most commonly connected into this full-time vacuum side of this carb? I have my power brakes booster vacuum connected to the back of my edelbrock intake manifold as required but it doesn't pull enough vacuum to allow my brake pedal to activate with a mininal stroke. I don't think so...but can this port assist or be used to pull the vacuum booster by itself?
the full time can be used for anything that requires full time vacuum, like a vacuum gage, the vacuum modulater on a auto trans, the air conditioning system, etc.
