    I can see it now......

A750 hp 460 stroker and a six speed auto smokin' up the neighborhood at the early hours of the morning.

Gas and rubber burning at three am.... cool!

small bumpers grabber hood 06 mustang v6 wheels (the ones that look like old shelbys) 302 shave the side marker lights and maybe door handles havent decided yet 68 cougar lights or shelby gt 350 probably cougar as i can get those cheaper (tail lights) lsd in the 8 and explorer brakes thats the list so far i think im getting a 71 grabber thats real rusty but has all the parts i need for a few hundred bucks so that will be cool if it goes through

as for the interior im not sure if want to restore and keep the old stuff or strip and go full custom im leaning more to full custom casue the maverick dash would look pretty good in a model t im building (and have been building forever i dont think i will get it finshed in my life time )

later on down the road i want to put a t5 in it.

well not to me anyway lol ive had all kinds of little hot rods in the past and they have all either been 2 seaters or somewhat dangerous and i have 3 kids so i wanted a project that would be cool that i could cruise with them to car shows and stuff and seemed to fit the bill since i dont really see many anymore anyway i think four doors rock lol

Cool! as for the rear you might wanna check the explorers 8.8s. 31 spline, lsd, disks and 4.11gears. they might aslo give you the backspace to run those newer wheels :)

    Clean car.

4 door Mavs look great chopped ... just thought I'd plant that seed.

The big issue with Explorer rear axles is the offset of the gearset. It is normal to design about an inch of offset (up-and-down, or side-to-side) for U-joint stability. If you aimed an engine straight at the rear gear, the driveshaft would wobble if there was zero offset. Explorer rears have a bunch of passenger side offset. I believe the motor is offset too. The angle might push u-joints a bit too far if installed in a car with a centered motor. Might be close to the tunnel too.

well im sticking with 8 its plenty strong enough for what i need and with the explorer brakes and the lsd it will be faster easier and cheaper to mark it off the list than swapping axels i have the 3.00 gears in mine which i feel are just about perfect for street cruising i would prefer 3.73 but these will do

i think 4 doors may appear scarce cause they werent saved like the two doors they were parted out for the two doors and crushed which is genrally the case with these cars when was the last time you seen a 4 door chevelle? same reason
