Im just putting on my headers and it sounds like itd be easier to convert to floor shift than to modify the column linkage but my question is if a b&m starshifter or megashifter will go in with a bench seat or with minor modification ?

It'll go in, might be a bit farther forward than you'd have with buckets but it will work.

You might consider getting a model for a truck. I think the only difference is the base is taller to clear a bench seat typical on trucks. It may or may not help, just lettig you know of the option to check out.(y)

should go just fine. ive seen stock auto shifters with bench seats and they fit just fine. ive seen a few aftermarket shifters with bench seats in cars that were on ebay from time to time. hell, i even have my 5sp shifter in my car with a bench

I haven't done this myself, so check out the measurements and assure there won't be any cable/shift lever issues. Hopefully, someone that has done this can give suggestions.

most cable shifters are more forgiving on install than linkage type...:yup:

My Hurst pro matic2 fits great. I like the look with a bench. Everyone does buckets. I like my bench.
