upper controls arms from dorman

    Has anyone used control arms from Doorman.Or any history on their quality.

    They are a OE supplier for many manufacturers including Ford. I use their products quite often they are also a ISO registered company. I have not seen the control arms and would like to. I have the complete catalog at my shop and not in there so very interesting ?

    Have you used their control arms before? what product do you suggest and where can you get them.

    I use Moog for everything I can, all the Dorman stuff I looked at, was thinner, and poor overall quality. My parts wholesaler sent me some brake spring kits, they were so thin you could put them on with a toothpick, and the brake hoses they send were junk.

    Dorman is made is China or Tawain stay away from chinese suspension parts yikes.

    I have had no problems at all with dorman products but have never used or seen control arms.

    Moog is your best bet, but pricey at times. At Advance, we sell Moog, TRW(which was purchased by Moog and not always available), and Moog's cheap China parts, under an OE brand. Moog and TRW have a lifetime warranty, the cheap stuff a 1 year warranty. You get what you pay for in most cases. We sell Dorman parts for the help items, no suspension parts.

    okay MOOG does not even make a upper control arm for any of the classic fords including mavericks. And TRW no longer exist they were bought out buy moog which was bought out by Federal Mogul which according to all web sites none show a upper control arm assy only upper ball joints period!

    Thats what I am finding. Can find no other upper control arm except Dorman. Which is better rebuilding with moog parts or new Dorman parts whole. How hard to rebuild?

    I was replying to the other post about buying MOOG that's all. your right lucky you can even get anything anymore. I buy NOS when ever I can!!!!!
