I can’t seem to find a power cylinder for my maverick... or the hoses that attach to it… I’ve called almost every were and can’t find any thing. I don’t know what to do? Are there any other options for me? Does anyone have a power cylinder they want to sell?

    Please help…

njntek; do away with the power steering. Go to any Mustang resto house, or AutoKrafters, and get the adapter that does away with that stuff. Or, go to a junk yard and get the manual steering from another car. You will need the center link, and I believe that is all. The steering gear is all the same, so yours is good. If you need other things, these folks can tell you. Hope this helps.

Where would I order this adapter?… I know that here in Alberta there aren’t any mustang supply houses… so do these supply houses in the USA have any power cylinders?

njnjtek, There's a company in Ohio that I dealt with several years ago when I wanted to repair mine. I don't have the information on me at the moment but let me get home tonight and look. I'm sure I at least have a phone number.

    Sam :)

njnjtek; Summitt, Jegs, or AutoKrafters has them. Go to them online-Summittracing.com, Jegs.com, AutoKrafters.com, and they should all have them. You will see them in the Mustang magazines-Mustang and Fords has them in there all the time. Let us know how it goes.

All the repair/replacment parts are found at Mustang parts suppliers. The cylinder is the same on a many ford cars using the same steering system.
Getting anything shipped to Canada can be a problem though.

Canadian Mustang http://www.canadianmustang.com is located in Langley, BC and have power to manual steering conversion kits, but according to their website, only for 1965-70 model years. Maybe if you call or email them they'll be able to tell you if they have anything for later model years. I found them to be very helpful in dealing with.
