    Hi all,

I have had a 71 maverick for about 10 months. alot of fun to drive. wish i knew what i was getting myself into. old car lol. i have replaced everything in the charging/ignition system. also motor threw a push rod and trashed my heads.(1st month) Motor was tired when i got it and i wasn't easy on it. but any how now here are the stats.

    Fresh h.o. 302.
    .030 over
    Keith black flat tops
    comp cam
    chrome molley push rods
    roller rockers
gt40 heads with a little port work.
    edelbrock performer rpm intake
    holley 750 double pumper(jetted down)
    Pro comp dstributor
    Full lenth headers
    dino at 350 hrspwr
c-4 trans with shift kit and b&m ratchet shifter.

After the heart transplant i really love this car. It really haul's ass.

Bought from orignal owner. all n all a clean well kept car. just need to get a difernt rear end or a spool. i need posi(trac-loc) badly. One wheel peel is still lots of fun though. car has the grabber hood and paint job. only thing that gives it away is the 4 lug wheels all the way around.:yahoo:

Sounds like your on your way to a cool ride.Swap out the front drums with disc brakes from a 74 and up Mav/Comet or Granada/Monarch and get a 5 lug 8" rear end or a 9".(maverick maniac) here on the forum has 9" housings cut down to fit a Maverick. Then you'll be in like Flint...Have fun!!!
