Hi everybody, my name is Mauro and I'm the proud owner of a 77 brazilian made Ford Maverick.
I bought the car a few months ago, it has the 2.3l 4cyl engine BUT i think it had the v8 before i bought it. At least that's what a friend told me because I have ventilated brake disks, the GT steering wheel and the grip for the tachometer in the steering column. Also the hood has been replaced with the simple one....
I really hope i can clear my doubts here, i can't think of a better place actually :)

    Saludos!
    -Mauro
(sorry my english, my native tongue is spanish)

You might mean the quarter extensions.

They are made of pot metal unless they are actually aluminum in Brazil. :)

WELCOME! If your VIN numer Located at the driver's side shock tower (Brazilian Maverick) Starts with LB5E that's a GT if it starts with LB5A that's a "Super"
There are some sites from Brazil that explains what all the numbers means that way you'll find out what came in the car
