I just rescued a very early 1970 maverick ( Key on lower dash ) . It has been sitting under a tree for 15 years. I am now replacing the floor pans and the only other rust is in the upper dash where the vent is in the back of the fire wall . I must have got 10 lbs of mulch out with a shop vac. My problem is I am in need of a windshield . I am thinking now that no glass shops will ever have glass for a Maverick as it is not a Mustang.
I have replaced the one in the 73 and the one in the 70 and I got both from the local auto glass shop for about $100.00 each. so yes they are still available
Not as hard to find as you'd imagine. A local shop here in town not only has them but has them in stock and will install it in your driveway for no additional charge. Pictures of your car would be appreciated by all who post here. We love pictures. Welcome aboard!
