    And me. :yahoo:Seriously i could care less about the Comet parts joke, i have personally scraped both Mavericks and Comets to build my Comet. It is more Maverick than Comet in some ways but honestly i love both cars, the joke part is ..........well...........a joke , fun that's all. Hey we all love cars with Pinto taillights (oooops did i just say that, so sorry).:bananaman:bananaman:bananaman

    Fun guys, just plain fun. :biglaugh:

    There was an old commercial on TV that said "Parts is Parts". I believe it was Wendy's or KFC. Anyway, it's true. I have robbed from many Cougars to fix or make better one of my other Cougars. Same thing with the Mustangs. I do the same with the Comets and Maverick. It seems all of our cars end up Frankencars. The end justifies the means, sometimes. When I bought a Comet parts car for my red GT, it had Maverick fenders and hood on it. They were better than the ones on my Sprint, so guess who got them? And what's wrong with Pinto tailights. When I needed one for my Pinto Sprint, I took a Maverick one to fix it. So, I guess Mavericks can be parts cars for Pintos, too. LOL.

    All i know is that Comets can do this------- jo-han_comet_model_box_top_original.jpg jo-han_comet_model_side_of_box_original.jpg in fact they make drawings about it. So there!!! As Blugene says............... Comets rule. comet_cast_on_willy_original.jpg :burnout::burnout::tiphat:

    i had 2 71 mavericks sold then i owned a73 comet power steering disk brakes all factory mercury always were a little classy now i own a 77 comet small bumpers . i never see comets at car shows do like them both FOMOCO
