on that would suck ill check that then so then if there is no screen there and there is rust in the carb it needs to be rebuilt or just get a whole new fresh one?
You dont have to replace the carb...I would strongly recommend going through it though considering the rust issue you had.I am sure you have rust in the carb causing the problems you seem to have...see post #10...Good luck!!!
mm not finding any numbers. unless im not looking in the right places. cant find a tab with the number on
List # can be found stamped to the air horn, the part that sticks up into the air filter, if it has a #. Do you have a pic of the carb from the linkage side? I am trying to see if there is a aluminum tube connecting the two bowls. That part hanging down where the banjo bolt is looks different than I remember.
yea there is a tube that runs straight along the side of the linkage to connect them here ill go snap a coupe more pics for you to see if that will help. im new to this (if you cant tell) and trying to learn it all right
If there is a tube then ok. I just couldn't see it in the pic. I think I do but barely. Anyway, if it has a # then there are ways to cross it to see what it is.
Hi guys, putting my two bits in... it looks close to being the 85 mustang carb, just trying to remember mine. I do know that they were the single feed carbs...it just looks a little differen't than I remember. For what it is worth I think that Mavman72 is on the right track. I would have to agree that it is some contaminents in the carb at this point. An inline filter is a must... that internal screen may not stop all rust...
here is two pics one of the linkage side and a number that i found dont know if it means anything but maybe
yea thats the same one i just found with that number that i just found so then thats what the carb is?
