Sniper kit comes with 3 jettings: 47/53 for 1.0 lbs N20/10 seconds, approx 100 HP in a mildly modified 350 ci engine. or 55/61 for 1.25 lbs/10 s for 125 HP increase. or 63/71 for 1.50 lbs/10s for 150 HP increase. You guys know how my engine is put together, and my driving habits. Two factors to consider. 1) I only own one bottle and it is a good hour drive each way to refill it, so less consumption would give me more passes on one filling. 2) I only go to the track once or three times a year.
Your going to have to experiment either way Scott.Personally I would start with the smallest jets and work up...
And what is the logic behind that? Just to work out bugs and build up comfort with an extra 100 before I go 150, or some other logic?
Each engine is different and for each step up in jetting you will need a different tune,be it less timing or more or carb mixture tuning etc...You did say you wanted to stay on the low side for consuption. That said, the smallest jet sizes will yield the least amount of consumption...
Bowstick has a point. I am still running a stock albeit rebuilt transmission, and 28 spline axles. And that logic about retuning between jetting is logical
im a fan of the 150 shot. partly because i use a cheater plate and thats the smallest shot it has. ill tell you what 150 is a good strong hit. basicly the biger shot that you run you wont want to go back to a smaller shot. your motor seems like its stout enough for the 150 shot. a roller block is know to be good up to 500 hp and from you chassie dyno numbers your making around 300 at the crank so with the 150 youll be around the 450 level and good to go fast.
I think it's a trade off. Smaller shot = staying on it longer, bigger shot = getting there a WHOLE lot faster. My 302 always got 175, my cast piston 460 had 175, my forged 460 got 225. I would start with 125 on yours, but 150 will be more fun.
