Maybe, depends on how much the rust repairs costs!

    all above

I feel that i want to have a 72 maverick grabber look. small bumpers, spoiler, grabber hood, retractable bucket seats, floor shifter 3 speed or t5 trans, 9 inch rear end with 3:55 gears, modified 302(347), holley carb, headers,gt40 heads.

    And

Cool rims, better suspention, gauges, sport sterring wheel, disk breaks, sport mirrors, and a/c.

    I guess there's a few mods.

I'm not into the stock resto. going more for the street rod fun car kind of thing.
Let me know if i missed anything.

I think I'm more of a hotroder & racer. I love the build and love to race when I can. I have always enjoyed the pro street type cars, but the build is the most fun to me. I've built cars then sold them just so I can start another one. This time I have decided to keep this next build. I'm going to build a fat tired hotrod with some cool stripes and lace work of the 70's-80's style. Gathering parts for the build for now will post pic's when the fun begins.

Me i'm sorta the other. My Comet is for the most part original, sorta, the engine is pretty much untouched from when it was built in Oct 1975 including the dirt. I like the look of a Maverick and Comet ..... but not the original way they looked for the most part in the '70's. I don't want to change the lines or add spoilers or Tupperware to the body but i also do not like and have removed all the excess chrome (on the sides of the body) and for the most part the colours on Mavericks and Comets of the '70's were pretty gross. Now not all were bad. The Grabber colours looked good, etc. Body wise i have made my front end a Maverick and left the rear a Comet. I guess i like being different. As for racing, i want to keep my Comet the way it was so no racing i guess with my mighty 250 under the hood. I just want to cruise and go to shows and swap meets so i guess i'm in the other catagory, just plain Jane with a little hotrodder or customiser.
Does any of that make sense.:D

    All of the above.
Restorer-I'm fine with the factory body/interior.
Hotrodder-But they look much better with nice wheels, and a hot driveline/good brakes are just too easy to NOT do.
Racer-Well not in a while. But I do love squeezing every last tenth out of a setup before upgrading anything. And since I'm not rich, I like bracket racing(at least I stand a chance in the brackets).
Other-My Comet will feature a 5.0 roller/5spd/discs and limited slip rear as well as numerous other upgrades/mods while looking mostly stock. Building to DRIVE!
The Pea is a rusty, slightly beat up but 99% original 200/3spd car. With crash bumpers. And all drum brakes. I have no intentions of restoring/rodding it. I love to drive it as is, not worrying about scratches or minor parking lot mishaps.
Some lucky(or unlucky?) contestant from the parts cars pool might eventually get turned into a bracket car. Will be street legal, but will likely have too much gear/stall to go "touring".

I like the body and style of the car with a few mods to it. Dont like any thing over 15" wheels. Big and wide on the back and narrow on the front. I like old school raw horse power but might play with some nos on this one. cool cragar ss rims and lots of cruising.
