The top mounts on the shocks are different between the maverick and mustang, but could be used by cutting off the top mounts off a maverick pr.and welding them on the mustang shock.I've done it in the past.

I used top mounts for a Granada when I did mine, minor tweaking required. For the bottom I bought a cross shaft from Air ride Technologies ,the one they used with QA1 shocks in their shock wave kit.Slip the shaft in the shock and the 2 bolts into the original holes in the upper control arm and your done.My car is not driveable yet so I can`t say how it works, but I have high hopes.

just a question about coilovers, once you get the coilovers do you still have leafsprings?

these coil overs are for the front. so with these you still have leafsprings. you can put coil overs in the rear, but it requires a whole new rear suspension that consists of controle arms and the coil overs.

thats a different type of system the one being talked about bolts up to the stock upper controle arm. it looks like the spring still seats in the top of the shock tower and the top of the shock still gets mounted to the 3 studs in the top of the tower some how.

oh thats why I'm a little confused, I thought these were for the rear. Is a 4 link the type of suspension you were talking about having in the rear?

a 4 link is a type of suspension used in the rear. there are lots of different types of link suspension for the rear. theres 4 link, ladder bar, torque arm, 3 link, and more that i cant think of.
