If so how did they work. Seco has a set for $715 and they are assembled. I looked up the flow numbers and they were not that great. I was mainly wondering how they would do on a race engine
if you don't mind me asking what are the specs on your engine. I was told they were basically gt40p's but not sure
7 teens on slicks and 7.50 on street tires. With mufflers and all the required street stuff. Im sure with more gear and compression it'd go 6's,i just never wanted to put more gear in it for the street. The only thing i didnt like on mine is the 6901's were a difficult fit and the springs werent much.
306 cu in with 9-1 compression LW Kieth Black flat tops on scat H-beam rods. Hydraulic Compcam Extreme Energy, Victor Jr intake with Holley 650DP. This made 345 horsepower at the rear wheels on the dyno 2 years ago, it makes a little more now that it's loosened up a bit!
dang thats impressive. I saw in some older posts that your car is backhalved. Did that make a lot of difference at as as et goes
The car runs very consistent and hooks up hard 1.50 60ft time, the package is different than 2 yrs ago! Bigger gear 5.14 vs 4.56 and 5000 stall converter...it is faster now and shifting at 7000 rpm going 7200 at the top end!
cool. I will probaly end up with gt40's or gt40p since I am on a tight budget. I saw in some old postrs that you were using spark arms to keep from burning plug wires and I was wondering where you got them
I got 4 of them on the driver side at $ 60 2 years ago...they work great and never had any issues with them! Call him and see what he can do for you? I am going to get 4 more and keep them in the tool box...cheap insurance!
yes dart Jr are good heads..we run them on stock car..351W..380 hp with gt 40 heads 420hp with dart Jr..500 2bl carb ..engine dyno
