My Mav is a C4/250. What parts are needed to swap to a stick? I'm most likely going to a 5 spd T-5 as they are cheaper then a 4 speed and the extra gas mileage.

I know the basics (fly wheel, clutch, PP, TO bearing, Bell housing, Z bar, pedal assy, etc.), but are the parts unique to a 250 or will other 6/V8 parts fit?

Next question, Anybody got this stuff for sale?(y)

Just make sure you get the right flywheel everything else will be the same as a V8 settup .

I think there is a place that you can get a kit to use the T5 bellhousing and cable settup like on the fox stangs ,it would prolly be nice to have.

I looked into the cable set up, but it's expensive. Thanks for the info.

If I were doing it, I'd probably look into a hydraulic throwout bearing and a clutch master out of some toyota or something tiny like that. then all you have to do is plumb a tiny little line and your clutch linkage is complete. you could even keep it all out of the engine bay with the right parts.

I've been planning to use PAW's hydraulic throwout kit; About $325 with needed extras. Will lookup in their catalog tonight when I get home from work, post tomorrow. Kipp

If I can't use OEM (factory original) parts then this mod is just to expensive. I can buy a T-5 for less. I am doing this swap on my '63 Ranchero using factory stuff and the cost is a whole lot less the a cable or hydraulic kit. I just don't like an auto trans and prefer manual set ups. More fun to drive.
