I just got my first Maverick a few weeks back. The car has a bench seat in it right now. What is a good bucket seat swap for these cars? I do plan on doing some autocross so I need some good seats. Thanks

Since people haven't changed in size much since the early '70s pretty much so any late model bucket will fit in there.

What requirements do you have for the seat? I see you want to autocross, is side bolster support important? Is it going to be a daily driver?

    More info would help.

I'm going to put these seats in my car. They're Jegs high back sport seats. You can't really see them, but there are cutouts in the back for a 5 point harness. You'll have to make your own hole if you plan on using a submarine belt.

It is not going to be a pure race car. Mostly driving on the weekends and events. I do like those from what I can see.

Those look a lot like my seats

Mine is a daily driver i find them very comfortable for 30 minute or less drives, my lower back starts to hurt after that(im 18 so it shouldnt)

has anyone tried RX8 seats? I dig the look of two buckets in the back, only problem is the airbags in the seat, if you go to the salvage yard. I am considering fronts, backs, and the center console for my 76 comet.

As long as the seats are unplugged, the airbag should never go off, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Those seats look good. Putting that interior into a Comet would be sharp!

Got my seats from a '96 Honda Civic. Took a bit of fabrication to get them to fit well, but they are comfortable and look good.

My seats came from a Stanza :D I used 2x4's to hold 'em up, and that's how they're bolted. I love them, they're really supportive and when we put them in it was my dad's car and he's as short as me (5'4") so I can see over the wheel unlike some cars.
