[nomedia]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFtu8VHfWKM[/nomedia] here is a video of my 460 turbo buildup i wasn't going to post anything till it was done because alot of people just want to tell you how it wont work but i thought this information might help someone out there so here you go i will post more later
Thats insane. It'll never work just like your 4 cylinder. You pulled off the turbo 4 and some so this one should be real interesting. Cant wait to see this one run.
i dunno i would like to see it run like a low 6 1/8th i dunno what that is in the 1/4 but i would like to run a 9 in the 1/4
Makes me want to kill my truck even more! It's an 89 with 80,000 original miles on the 460. Too nice of a truck to do it but you sure got me thinkng of it!
Another helpful word of advice, use a 5/16 carb stud instead of the 1/4" or this will happen LMK if ya need some tuning help
I don't know about "cheap" but Flaming River has all kinds of stuff for steering parts for street rods. Ought to be quite the beast when it is done. If you are running 6s in the 1/8, like you hope to (and I think it should if you get it dialed in and traction isn't an issue), that should make it a 9 second car in the 1/4. A good ballpark 1/8 to 1/4 ET conversion factor for most applications is to multiply the 1/8th time by 1.55. Doesn't alway work out exactly, but is pretty good for most cars.
