My random Maverick / Comet pictures

Their finally here.

 

Anyone seen one of these before, i got the picture off the Brazilian board.

 

i,m headeint wal mart for the new hot wheel. thats bad ass

 

We all have waited so long for a new Hot Wheels Maverick that we should see who can come up with a new picture of the new Maverick die cast and posts that picture. I can hardly wait to see the new Hot Wheels Maverick next too the old Mighty Maverick.

 

By the way if anyone finds one that is another colour other than yellow can you please post a picture.

 

I finally dug it out of my photo collection, here is the first picture of my Comet (before the Maverick nose job) from 1993.


I had just bought it from old Mrs. White for $200 (talked her down from $300) and drove the old girl over to my buddies house which was about 4 miles away and parked it on his front yard mini drive way.

Wow when i look at this picture it sure does bring back some memories. If you look it has wider bias ply tires on the front and really old style skinny Winter tires on the back wheels. That was a bad combo for driving at the best of times.

The Comet had not even had a tune up since when it was bought new as far as i could tell as the spark plugs were literally soaked in black carbon/tar and some how it still ran only really roughly.

I must say it was the best $200 i ever spent as for the first 2 years it was my daily driver when i went to collage, through Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

They don't make 'em like that anymore, but then all us Maverick / Comet owner already know that....eh!!!!

 

I stole this Maverick picture from the other board so you guys most likely have seen it before but i really do like the picture. I get a kick out of this young guy who is so proud of all of his tickets, who said Mavericks are slow, not this guy that's for sure.
