    some C4 info...
I received in an E mail from a converter company..:yup:

    Hello Frank,
We have performed comprehensive fluid analysis on virtually every ATF available. We have found that the best product currently available is Lucas Sure Shift semi-synthetic fluid. We offer this fluid for sale in case quantity (6 quarts per case). The next best product available is standard Type F fluid from either Castrol, Pennzoil, or Kendall. Full synthetic fluid is best left avoided in automatic transmissions. While synthetic does offer excellent lubricity and extended fluid life with high resistance to thermal break-down, it can lead to reduced clutch, band, and sprag life in an automatic transmission. Clutches and bands need to apply and grab immediately. Synthetic fluid does such a good job at reducing friction that it can allow clutches and bands to slip, which will cause premature wear and excess heat build-up. In a C-4, synthetic fluid can also lead to premature failure of the overrun clutch. The reduction in friction provided by synthetic fluid can allow the rollers in the overrun clutch to skid against the race, causing brinnelling of the race and the rollers. If there is anything else I may be able to help you with, please let me know. Thank you!

So, is there a question involved here or are you looking for a discussion?

...no question and no need for comments...just posting "Their" testing results...and as always, trying to keep the thread on topic.
