Today I went to the garage to check some info out on m Mav's registration and other things. For some reason, I just decided to take off the air cleaner housing and actually look at the carb my Mav had.

Since I'm stll a car newbie at heart(I've learned many things since owning a Mav), I never really took a look at the carb because I had it rebuilt after a few months of owning it and it no idling right it. I have a 200 in my Mav and from some info found here, I expected a Carter YF. I looked on the side of the carb and to my surprise, it was actually a Carter RBS on it.

I'm guessing the previous owner slapped it on there before I bought the car. This is a plus for me since all this time I was searching for another YF from a 300 to put on my 200 for the extra CFM but I don't even have to worry about that since I found this out.

Now this is what I call a great way to start off my spring/summer with my car.

Here's a pic that I just finished uploading.

ha. that is a something cool to find. I dont know much about either of those carbs but unexpectedly finding a larger CFM carburetor has got to be cool!
